You may be single and desire to be in a committed, healthy relationship. Or you may be in a relationship but tend to put them before yourself. One thing I truly believe is, the best relationship you can have, is with yourself [in addition to God, of course :)].
How you love yourself and treat yourself is the blueprint for others. Teach people how to treat you and love you, by the way you treat and love yourself!
When dating someone, they should add to your happiness, not create it. If you depend on others for wholeness, you’ll never know how to be alone and enjoy your own company. This also leads to codependency and that’s not healthy. When we seek validation from others, we can be so anxious and desperate to fill those voids with anything and anyone – which also isn’t healthy.
Message of the day: Your worth is not tied to a relationship status!
So how often do you prioritize yourself?
How often do you clap for yourself and compliment yourself?
How’s your self-esteem and confidence?
What are you proud of yourself for?
How often do you remind yourself of your worth?
How often do you remind yourself that you’re the ish, been the ish, and will forever be the ish!!?? 😉
Make sure you take care of YOU first, and never give someone the responsibility of YOUR happiness!
