HONEY LISTEN TO ME!! When I tell you this sweet almond oil is THE TRUTH! I started using it on CZN’s almost bald spot, you know the one most babies get from laying on their back/head. And literally, about 4 days later, I started to see her hair grow! So I’m like ok cool, let me start using this for my edges that postpartum stole from me!
I use this product twice a day (if not twice, for sure once because sometimes I forget 😅), massage it in real good on the scalp and that’s it! I sleep with a satin scarf or satin pillowcase (CZN sleeps on a satin sheet) and girl the hair is thrivinggg! AND! It’s great for your skin too! Buy this nowww. We all deserve to live a life with full edges! Lbvs!
- No heat! NO COLOR!
- A few rice water treatments
- Satin pillowcases and scarfs
- Clipped my ends every 6 weeks or so
- Leaving my hair alone (I wore two braids to the back, super moisturized with oils, almost every day during Covid!)
- African Pride Moisture Miracle Coconut Oil & Baobab Oil Leave-In Cream
- Oils, oils, and more oils! Specifically Peppermint Oil and African Pride Moisture Miracle 5 essential oils.
- Difeel Ultra Growth with Basil & Castor Oil: Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Growth Oil
- Following hair recipes from Ro MustLive on YouTube (but now, ALL I need is sweet almond oil!! ONE ingredient!)
For the Baby:
CZN hair started to come out because she slept on our chest her first month of life 😩 I know it’s not recommended BUT it was the only way ANY of us could get some sleep. I was able to save her from a complete bald spot but her hair did break off in some areas before I started the satin protection. But it’s growing back so beautifully and FAST!
I started to use:
- Satin sheets in her crib
- Satin pillowcases anytime she lays on her boppy or sits in her chair.
As for (baby) hair products:
- Shea Moisture Coconut Oil Baby Wash & Shampoo
- 100% Virgin Coconut Oil
- Sweet Almond Oil (I like this better than coconut oil; it feels better to me and it grew her hair superrr fast)
- Frida Baby DermaFrida Skin Soother for her scalp
- For the dry scalp or mild case of cradle cap, avocado oil is amazing. It’s thick and when you continuously massage it in the scalp, the cradle crap raises by itself!
I hope you found this helpful, Mama (and Mama to be)!
