I started Relationship Coaching back in 2016, with journaling. I poured all of my emotions out by self-reflecting which resulted in a blog, 2 books, and an entire business.
What I learned from my journaling is, self-reflection allows you to become aware of your own emotions, intentions, and brokenness. I wanted to be aware of WHO I was and WHAT I needed to do, in order to be in a healthy relationship. And honestly, it’s a form of release. You have to release those emotions, those thoughts and even those tears, to then be able to heal. I looked back on my past and my mistakes or even growth, and learned from it. Take a look at the self-reflection questions below and complete them if you’re in your season of singleness
I do the same thing with my clients. We go backward, in order to effectively move forward. If you don’t know who you are and where you’re lacking, you can’t give your best to someone else. You have to first be honest with yourself and fill your own cup.
